solo travel on a budget

Last summer, it felt like there was a heat wave everywhere I went. At least 85-100°, and the air conditioners were limited. In Turkey, it was hot- I can’t believe I didn’t get sunburned! Coming into the grand bazaar was a nice break since it was a HUGE inside shopping center.

Even though I was in Turkey, I looked at the map on my phone to see exactly where I was. Going into the Mediterranean was amazing, especially because the water was so salty! After getting out of the water you could see the remnants of the white salt on my skin, and it did wonders for my hair 😍

One of my favorite pictures that I’ve taken, because of the blue skies, blue waters, and the gorgeous pink flower tree. If you can see the castle looking walls, those are the medieval style walls that surround the Old Town. Old town is one of the oldest inhabited medieval towns in Europe, and it is now it designated UNESCO world heritage site since 1988. There are a lot of famous places to visit downtown, as well as many restaurants, stores and of course gorgeous views of the water. It’s also where they have their dock where all the ships come in from other countries such as turkey which is the way that I came to roads. It’s almost like a little maze when you’re walking through because there are a lot of pathways that really makes you feel like you‘re sent back in time!

It’s cool to say that I’ve been to Rome twice in my life – both separate trips and different experiences. I also think that it’s amazing that the Colosseum is one of the Seven World Wonders!! If you ever go, I recommend taking the subway to the Colosseo subway stop… start recording as you’re leaving the station, and you’ll see the beauty as SOON as you step out of the door. (Even though I personally HATE these gates in the picture. Tried editing them out but it ruined the picture)

I love the international terminal at Logan. I’m usually nervous to start, but in my mind all is good after I get through security. Luckily they redid the waiting areas in the international terminal and created a huge lounge area with comfy couches and chairs!

After doing tons of research and practice with searching and buying plane tickets, I’m finding round trips from New York to Europe for $215, Dubai to Australia for $300, and many more. I have so many resources to find travel opportunities for clients and myself!! I also make commission off of anything I book- whether it be an entire trip to Disney, or the bus ride from the airport to the hotel. There’s literally nothing better than scoring travel deals.

This day, these umbrellas were all I had to keep cool. This was an extremely hot day, with the sun beating down on me. This was the first summer where I was actually tan!!! (I’m Irish, so I usually just burn!)

“Life is short, the world is wide, and I wanna make some memories.”

And that’s exactly what I’m doing!! Everyone knows of my LOVE for travel- and as a college student, it’s been on and off for the past few years, working around my school schedule. I’ve been trying to find an opportunity like this so I can share my passion for travel.
